Attorneys Michael W. Mr. Moran is a former municipal court judge who has handled criminal defense cases for over a decade.  He is a native of southern Colorado who completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and obtained his law degree from the University of Denver.  Mr. Moran has lectured as a forum speaker at the Office of the Public Defender. Mr. Moran started his legal career in the El Paso County District Attorney's Office and remains involved in the Colorado Springs judicial community.  He is active with the Teen Court program and sits on the El Paso County Court's First Appearance Center Committee.

Mr. Heim gained his trial experience as a deputy district attorney in the Arapahoe, Douglas, El Paso and Teller County District Attorneys' Offices.  In the El Paso and Teller County District Attorney's Office he was a Senior Deputy District Attorney in charge of a team of attorneys, investigators, and paralegals.  He specialized in high profile homicide and crimes against children cases. On four separate occasions, he was the recipient of the D.A's office's coveted "Trial Hound" award for trying more felony cases than any other attorney.  Mr. Heim has served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Safe Passage (formerly the Children's Advocacy Center of the Pikes Peak Region) and for the Western Region Children's Advocacy Center.  Mr. Heim is a Colorado Springs native.  He attended Cheyenne Mountain High School, obtained a bachelor of science degree in finance at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, and his juris doctorate from the Creighton University School of Law.
