GEOFFREY HEIM: In Colorado, accomplice liability means that you have knowledge that a crime is going to be committed and that you take a substantial step or aid and abet the person that has actually committed the crime. The state has to prove knowledge. That you knew the crime was going to be committed when you were there and that you actually helped commit that crime. Mere presence alone is not enough to convict you.
